INDIANAPOLIS, MAY 30 : The Indianapolis Summer Servings Program will host a kick-off on June 4 to highlight the beginning of the summer food service program. More than 200 meal sites throughout Marion County participate in Summer Servings, a program of the United States Department of Agriculture Summer Food Service Program, which provides nutritious meals and snacks to children during the summer months.
All children ages 18 and under may participate in the Summers Servings meal program.
There is no registration or ID required for a child to participate.
Kick-off activities will be held at Broad Ripple Park and will include a “skills session” provided by Indy Eleven staff members, a Summer Servings meal service and remarks by city and state dignitaries.
Invited guests are Mayor Greg Ballard, U.S. Representative André Carson, IPS Deputy Superintendent of Operations, Scott Martin, INDOE English Learning & Migrant Education Coordinator, Rachel Davidson

On June 4, 2014: 10:30 a.m.-11 a.m. 80 children enrolled in Indy Parks Day Camp will participate in a skills session with Indy Eleven staff members.
11 .-11:10 a.m. – Children will receive a Summer Servings meal distributed by Mayor Ballard, Rep. Carson, Scott Martin and Rachel Davidson.
