“A major charge levelled by some people against the temple is that Ayyappa is a misogynist. They link their allegation to restrictions placed on the entry of women in the 10-50 age group to the temple. They advertise this as a case of bias against women in general conveniently hiding the fact that girls below the age of 10 and women above the age of 50 are allowed entry to the temple. Their attempt is to present Hinduism as a regressive philosophy.”—Ashok Chowgule
Dear Fellow Bharatiya,
It is extremely distressing to read such words like ‘misogynist’ used for a “Mandir” within Sanatan Dharma. I have no desire to keep explaining to you or any one else here about the intent of handful born idiots, whether educated or non-educated, judiciary or in government, press reporters or innocent street walkers. However, it is a highest level of pseudo-secularism in a pious Hindu Secular country where corrupt men & women in power have decided to impose upon the inbuilt faith of a simple follower of Vedic Culture and Traditions. Shri Ram in Ayodhya is another victim which brings shame on all Hindu leaders.
Imagine, life without electricity and common amenities hundreds of years ago, when a women used to menstruate suddenly, one must understand that there was no inner pads to protect the woman from sudden menstruation. Such products only became available 20-30 years ago to common women in India. Even an idiot understands today what is menstruation and why is it only a phenomenon in a gender called female. Today most women can afford to protect themselves from such accident but that does not bring total cleaning process within walls of Mandir.
Nevertheless, Hindu Way of Life is driven by “faith in almighty and trust in sound humanity”. It is indeed unfortunate situation in India that it’s judiciary is influenced by handful of “blind supporters political ideologues and keepers of muscle power in the Hindu community at large”, the judges deliver judgements with lack of commonsense & without any sanity.
