California (USA):Finding spiritual fulfillment through bhakti-marga was discussed when Shyamdas, prominent Vedic scholar, and Rajan Zed, acclaimed Hindu statesman; met at Truckee in California today.
Other topics discussed were surrender to God, belief in the divinity of human soul, path of devotion, bhakti yoga, non-dual reality, mysticism, Vedas, etc.Zed stressed that world has come to appreciate universal and timeless values, and dynamism of Hinduism; and sophistication of Hindu philosophy.
Shyamdas Schaffer is the author of over 20 books, including well known “Inner Goddess” and “The Yoga of Kirtan”. He specializes in classical Dhrupada music and has produced various albums, including “Sweet Radhe”. He is based in Gokul in “Lord Krishna’s heartland” in India. Rajan Zed is president of Universal Society of Hinduism and lives in Nevada (USA).
