Nepal, April 4, 2011: Today, a ten member students Indo-Nepal friendship delegation led by Pramod Sharma, Coordinator, Yuvsatta reached Nepal. Prominent participants includes students from Bhavan Vidyalaya, Panchkula, St. Stephan’s School, Sector 45, St. Mary’s School, Sector 46 & St. Soldier International School, Sector 28, Chandigarh.
Welcoming the young students Dr. Chintamani Yogi, Founding Principal of Hindu Vidyapeeth School in Kathmandu said that Nepal & India share hundreds of years of cultural, historical & social common heritage and now its up to the new generation of young people to take this friendship to next level of Indo-Nepal youth working together for common good & promoting peace.The students from Chandigarh-Panchkula during their weeklong trip will be staying with local families in Kathmandu. Student host-students guest, which will provide them a greater opportunity to know & explore each others cultural heritage and bonding. And besides going for sight-seeing of important places in and around Kathmandu, this group will also be involved in lot of interactive sessions & games with local youth, visit to local Schools etc. to cement the Indo-Nepal bonds.
