Iran has stopped oil sales to France and Britain which has come in retaliation of EU ban on Iranian oil exports which will come into full effect from 1st July.
Iranian Oil Ministry said in a statement on its official website that export of crude to British and French companies has been stopped.
The statement also said that the oil will be sold to new customers. The decision is not expected to have a big impact.
France last year bought only three percent of its oil, 58,000 barrels a day from Iran and Britain was believed to be no longer importing Iranian oil.
Analysts say it is a veiled warning to other EU nations such as Italy, Spain and Greece that are heavily dependent on Iranian oil.
