ICSI MEMBERS TO GET AUTOMATIC MEMBERSHIP OF S.I.I.11 Sep :The Institute of Company Secretaries of India (ICSI) have entered into a Memorandum of Understanding with the Securities & Investment Institute (S.I.I.)
, London to enhance the educational levels of its students and members. Under it ICSI will offer certain units of S.I.I. qualifications in capital markets, commodity markets, fund management, wealth management and investment banking as elective subjects to its students and members. This is expected to provide them an exposure to the Securities & Investment industry apart from an internationally recognised qualification.
S.I.I. has offered certain recognitions to ICSI students who have passed the ‘Executive Programme’, which will facilitate their obtaining the ‘International Investment Administration Qualification (IAQ)’. The London institute has also recognised membership of ICSI for automatic membership of S.I.I. at the Associate level (ASI). Senior practitioners of ICSI in Securities and Investment industry would be entitled to apply for Fellow Membership (FSI).
The Institute of Company Secretaries of India’s Centre for Corporate Research & Training (CCRT) at Navi-Mumbai has been offered accreditation as a training provider (ATP) to conduct direct training for S.I.I. exams to those wishing to obtain a S.I.I. international qualification.
A Memorandum to this effect was signed between the Institute of Company Secretaries of India (ICSI) & the Securities & Investment Institute (SII), London, here yesterday at ICSI House. The MOU was exchanged between Mr. N. K. Jain, Secretary & CEO, ICSI and Mr. Simon Culhane, CEO of S.I.I. in the presence of Mr. Keyoor Bakshi, President ICSI, Mr. Richard Stockdale – President SII India Committee and Ms. Arwa Tapia – Country Head India.
