May 14, 2015, Toronto, Canada : Jadoo Entertainment and Aarohi had come together for yet another extravagant and spectacular Broadway style dance musical on May 9th, 2015 to celebrate the South Asian Heritage month. It was a SOLD OUT show well attended by around 600 at Michael Power / St. Joseph Secondary School, Etobicoke. It was their second successful production after their maiden sold out event ‘Asha Ke Nagme’ in May 2014.
"Devdas – A Bollywood Dance Musical" was a dance drama performed by more than 35 performers on live singing of melodious bollywood songs. It was a first of its kind to be performed in GTA.
“DEVDAS” is a tragic love story written by Sarat Chandra Chattopadhyay in 1917. It has been filmed in six Indian languages in India including 3 times by Bollywood enacted by greats like K.L. Saigal, Dilipkumar and Shahrukh Khan.
Audience was left spell-bound by a unique representation of “DEVDAS” – which included series of dazzling dance performances by Jadoo Entertainment – in a variety of dance forms – Indian classical, hip-hop, contemporary to name a few and complimented with a bouquet of songs from yesteryears to current times sung live by Mina Dalvi and Jay Solanki. Jadoo Entertainment and Aarohi had been working relentlessly for last 8 months to make this evening a memorable musical experience to our esteemed audience. The event has been appreciated and acclaimed by one and all.
