INDIANAPOLIS, SEPT 29 : Dr. Prabhjot Singh, who was recently attacked in New York, is determined to continue to serve the community as he has done before.
This was disclosed by Dr Prabhjot’s parents Mr Tarlochan Singh and Narinder Kaur in a communication to Mr KP Singh here while thanking him for his support.
They wrote “Dearest KP Singh Ji. We thank you for your e mail and e mails of support from many of you and from others after the incidence with our son, Prabhjot Singh, in NY. We are sorry for not being able to respond to your e mails wishing Prabhjot quick recovery and hope for end of such indiscriminate hatred and violence.”
Prabhjot incurred fractures in his lower jaw and required surgical intervention.
“With Waheguru Ji’s blessing, he will fully recover in a few weeks. He has been back to work and we have had a lot of support from NYPD, the DA’s office and the Mayor’s office, as well as Columbia University, Mt Sanai Hospital and many well wishers,” Tarlochan Singh said and disclosed that Prabhjot plans to continue to serve the community as he has done before.
Dr. Prabhjot Singh has been doing research in the area of health in Africa and teaching at Columbia University and recently received a $50, 000 award for his work.
