The India Post, Chandigarh, 22th May, 2009 :As many as seventy nine donors from the fraternity of Chartered Accountants and members of their families of Chandigarh Branch of The Institute of Chartered Accountants of India donated their blood. The Rajesh Goyal Memorial Blood Donation camp was organised at ICAI Bhawan, Sector 35-B, Chandigarh. The camp was inaugurated by the senior most former Chairman CA J.B. Bhasin.“The work of chartered accountants is considered to be very serious and businesslike; but we are all human beings, rather good human beings. We want to strengthen our bonds with our clientele by initiating this movement for a cause”, said CA Raman Seth, Chairman of Chandigarh Branch (NIRC) of ICAI.
Last year, more than 40 Chartered Accountants of the city had donated their blood.
While thanking his brethren donors and budding CAs, the Chairman hoped “The figure of donors in this camp will rise in the coming years and inculcate it as a habit among his fraternity and the general public”.
