CHANDIGARH, JULY 26 ; India claimed two more silver and one bronze medals in the 2013 Asian Cadet Freestyle and Greco-Roman and Female Wrestling Championship at Buyant-Ukhaa Sports Complex at Ulaanbaatar in Mongolia.
Annu Panghal captured silver in 46 kg women freestyle competitions. Manju had to satisfy herself with a bronze medal in the 43 kg category. Competing in the 85 kg Greco-Roman style, Rohit got silver . On the opening day, India had clinched silver through Rajesh (46 kg) and bronze through Manjeet Dalal (69 kg) in Greco-Roman style.
India finished fifth in the Greco-Roman style competitions by logging 56 points. Kirgizstan emerged winners with 86 points. Kazakhstan were runners-up with 82 points while the third position went to Iran.
Rohit raised Indian hopes of winning gold medal as he earned 3-0 lead in the first session against Mohammad Biranvand of Iran in the 85 kg Greco-Roman style final. However, the Iranian wrestler fought back and score five points while Rohit failed to garner any point in the second session. Rohit lost the bout by 3-5.
Annu Panghal lost to Kim Son Hyang of Korea by 10-0 in the female 46 kg freestyle final bout. In the 43 kg section, Manju beat Elivira Abilkairova of Kazakhstan by 6-5 in the repach finalists bout.
