Bengaluru,: After close to a month’s gap, Ridhima Dilawari and Astha Madan, who snatched the 2nd and 3rd position in the Usha Northern India Ladies & Junior Girls Golf Championship respectively, are ready to cross swords once again at the USHA Southern India Ladies & Junior Girls Amateur Golf Championship 2014, which is set to get underway at the Karnataka Golf Association, Bengaluru.
Ridhima Dilawari, currently placed at 4th position in the Order of Merit list of the Indian Golf Union (IGU) Ladies Tour will be the one to look out for. The draw has seen acceptance from 75 amateur lady golfers in all. Delhi based Gurbani Singh, the winner of Usha Northern India Open last month with a total score of 218 will not be a part of this tournament.
Strong challenge is also expected from ‘seasoned veterans’ of the IGU Ladies Tour like Gauri Monga, Aditi Ashok, Amandeep Drall, Millie Saroha, Tvesa Malik and Seher Atwal. The event will be played in the stroke-play format over three days and 54 holes. The winner is likely to emerge on Thursday, June 05, 2014.
