“We extend our deepest condolences to the patient’s family on their loss. Patient Mr Rishi Gupta was a known case of Coronary Heart disease. He had undergone a bypass surgery fifteen years ago. His heart function was poor and his overall condition was serious. Patient’s family was informed about the high risk condition of the Patient and were explained in details about the prognosis. Only after taking due consent Patient was implanted with a pacemaker on the 22nd Sep 2013 and was discharged in a stable condition on the 24th September 2013 from Max Super Speciality Hospital.
Today Patient was brought to Max Super Speciality hospital and he was dead on arrival with no heart rhythm or spontaneous respiration. As per the family members Patient was absolutely fine till this afternoon but developed Sudden Cardiac Death (SCD) which is a known complication in such a patient with extensive heart disease and poor heart function. At Max Super Speciality Hospital highest level of care and medical expertise was provided to the patient.”
