Mohali , October 12, 2015 : Students of Mata Sahib Kaur Public Senior Secondary School School Swara, Mohali have brought laurels by winning the recently held a district level tournament of ‘Fencing- Battle of Swords’. The school claimed the overall trophy by securing maximum medals. In this mega tournament as many as 150 students from various schools had participated. For this competition, schools were divided into different zones. Both boys and girls of the school had given their best performance which was appreciated.
In this competition the school secured 12 gold medals and three silver medals in boys’ individual and team category. Besides, in Girls’ individual and team category, 11 gold and four silver medals were clinched.
While congratulating the young winners, the Principal of Mata Sahib Kaur Public Senior Secondary School, Ranjit Kaur said, “It is a proud moment for the school and the hard work done by our students has paid off. At our school, we focus on the overall development of the children so that they could excel in every field”.
The Manager of the school, Sadhu Singh also applauded the performance of the students and extended his warm wishes to the parents.
