CHANDIGARH, JULY 30 : Lakhmehar and Manjit won titles for girls and boys for 10 to 12 years, respectively, in the CGA Golf Range organized first Putting Competition for children in the age group of under-8 years, 8-10 years & 10-12 here today.
Co-coordinator for the tournament Mahesh Kumar was impressed with the turnout for the tournament as well as the high standard of golf exhibited by the participant. “Not very often do you, find young six year olds scoring consistent pars over the putting course”.
Col HS Baidwan, Chairman Golf Activities announced that a putting competition for the CGA camp will be held every three months. He further announced that shortly a 9 hole Pitch & Putt Competition will be also started.
These developments will go a long way in developing a sound competitive spirit amongst the kids as well as the standard of golf amongst young school children.
Mr. Jesse Grewal, Director CGA Golf Academy gave away the prizes. He was trough impressed with the kid’s performance as well as the number of kids who participated in the tournament.

Girls 10-12: Winner: Lakhmehar, runner-up: Heena. Boys: Manjit, runner-up: Yuvraj.
