Speaking on the occasion, Barry Dancer talked about the team preparation for the big League and expressed confidence that JPW would come out with flying colours. He said the team had roped in a mix of experienced and upcoming stars such as drag-flicker Sandeep Singh, Jake Whetton, Agustin Mazzilli, Affan Yousuf, Satbir Singh and Karamjeet Singh.
“Sandeep Singh was the highest goal scorer in last year’s HHIL and with him joining us, we feel far more confident to lift the trophy this year. He is one of the finest drag-flickers and we’re lucky to have him in our team. I always believed that Punjab Warriors was one of the most talented sides in the competition and can be a serious threat to any opposition on a given day.” Dancer said. Jagbir Singh highlighted the fact that many JPW players had been playing in international competitions till recently and have had good practice to be fit to face any challenge in the league.
Captain Jamie Dwyer said: “We are very optimistic for our performance this year as the side looks really good with all players looking fit and best of form.
