17-year-old Bishnoi who scored three-over 75, the same score as her teammate Dilawari, says, “The day was pretty tough owing to the heavy rainfall but eventually we managed to finish 18-holes. The greens are very fast and sloppy, so tomorrow I will have to work on putting downhill.”
Madan, 18, who brought the best card on her debut at the Queen Sirikit Cup today, said, “I could have done better but there is nothing to complain as it’s my first time at this tournament. I will have to be more careful about my long game and approach shots to the greens so that I can hit more greens in regulations tomorrow and day after.”
Host team Hong Kong took the top honors at 139 while three teams including New Zealand, Philippines and Singapore and one player each of Japan, Korea and Malaysia still have to complete round one as the day was suspended due to inclement weather.
