Indian challenge ended today in the$10,000 ITF Men’s Thailand Futures Tennis Tournament at the Rama Garden Sport Complex in Bangkok. Lakshit Sood lost to Australian Jonathon Cooper in three sets.
Both matched each other in departments of the game in the first set which was decided in tie-breaker in favour of Lakshit Sood. However, Cooper made it one-all by winning the second set and went on to claim the third and deciding set and earned a berth in quarter-final. Cooper won 6-7(3) 6-4 6-2.
In the doubles quarter-final top seeded Japanese pair of Toshihide Matusi and Arata Onozawa defeated Indian pair of Vinayak Sharma Kaza and Lakshit Sood 6-4 6-2 in straight sets.
