Bhopal:Sunday, July 26 ; Culture and Public Relations Minister Shri Laxmikant Sharma flagged off a walkathon at Board Office Crossing here today. Speaking on the occasion, he said that the healthy body is the biggest boon. He described morning walk as the biggest need for healthy body. The walkathon was organised by a private mobile operating company and a private FM radio. Shri Sharma also distributed prizes to winners after the walkathon.
Thousands of people turned up at Board Office Crossing at 7 am. Later, walkathon participants reached Arera Club near Mayur Park and returned to Board Office Crossing where the walkathon culminated. People enjoyed the five-kilometre walk amidst light drizzle. Culture Minister Shri Sharma accompanied the walkathon participants throughout the walk. He congratulated organisers of this programme. Shri Sharma hoped that awareness about health will increase in the city and apart from making Madhya Pradesh a healthy state, people will also enjoy life with their healthy bodies.
