A grand Health Expo was inaugurated at the 5th World Ayurved Conference, the biggest in the world, at Lal Parade Ground here today. Besides reputed Ayurved pharmaceutical companies of India, the Union and State AYUSH departments and institutions have also put up their stalls at the expo.
The expo was inaugurated with recitation of praise of Ayurved’s creator Lord Dhanwantri and Lord Ganesh and Madhya Pradesh Gaan. A large number of Ayurved doctors, students, researchers, experts from country and abroad, representatives of Ayurved universities and Ayurved lovers were present on the occasion. The inaugural function was presided over by founder President of Vigyan Bharti Prof. K.I. Vasu.
On the occasion, Industries, Science & Technology Minister Shri Kailash Vijaywargiya and Minister of State for AYUSH Shri Mahendra Hardia reiterated commitment to promote Ayurved by the State Government led by Chief Minister Shri Shivraj Singh Chouhan. Shri Vijaywargiya said that Ayurved system of medicine evolved by Indian seers and sages is the most unique in the world. Optimum efforts will be made to promote Ayurved and cultivation of medicinal plants with a view to improving financial condition of farmers, especially tribals in the state.
Shri Mahendra Hardia said that responsibilities of all the people associated with Ayurved have increased with growing trust of common people in this system of medicine. No ‘pathy’ is better than Ayurved in preventing and treating diseases. He said that Ayurved has been conserved much better in South India. Techniques from over there will be brought to Madhya Pradesh’s Ayurved colleges. After 30 years, process of Ayurved doctors’ recruitment through PSC and filling up of AYUSH posts is being undertaken.
Mayor Smt. Krishna Gaur said that Ayurved is not a mere system of medicine, but a way of life. It keeps our life restrained and balanced. She stressed the need for further mass awareness towards Ayurved.
Expo
At the conference venue, Health Expo has been put up at Ksheersgar Pavilion. Central Ayurved Science Research Council, National Ayurved Institute, Bharatiya Chikitsa Bheshaj Samhita Prayogshala. Central Siddha Research Council, National Naturopathy Institute, Central Ayurvedic Science Research Institute, Morarji Desai National Yoga Institute, Central Yoga and Naturopathy Research Council, Pt. Khushilal Sharma Ayurved College, Madhya Pradesh Laghu Vanopaj Sangh and other institutions have put up their stalls at the expo besides a number of pharmaceutical companies including Dhootpapeshwar, Jhandu, Unjha, Vaidhyanath, Sandu, SKM Siddha & Ayurved, Dabur, Jamuna, Rasala, Ayush, Rasgola, Kashmir Pharmaceuticals, Chetanya Pharma, Maharishi Pharma, Deendayal Aushadhi etc.
Free treatment
During World Ayurved Conference, arrangements have been made for free Ayurved consultation and treatment till December 10. Reputed Ayurved specialists of the country will give free consultation and medicines to patients at consultation centres, some of which have started functioning from this evening while remaining will start functioning from tomorrow.
