CHANDIGARH, JULY 24 : Delhi Public School won the Panchkula Inter-School District Football Tournament for the fourth time in succession after defeating St. Vivekanand Millennium School by 2-0 in the final match played at Sports Complex in Sector 3 in Panchkula.
Congratulaing the team, Principal Samson Masih described the victory as a `matter of pride’ for the school that eight players of the team have been selected to play at the State level. They are Ashish Rathor (goal-keeper), Aakash Pratap Singh (captain), Shubhankar Singh, Suyog Saxena, Pankaj Ahuja, Bhawesh Tewari, Harshal Jariyal, Kashish Kumar and Qaji Muhajib Anshul Rangasia.
The victorious team was captained by Aakash Pratap Singh. Other members of the team were: Ashish Rathor (goal-keeper), Shubhankar Singh, Suyog Saxena, Pankaj Ahuja, Bhawesh Tewari, Harshal Jariyal, Kashish Kumar, Deepak Kumar, Qaji Muhajib, Shubham Singh, Anshul Rangasia, Rohit Malik, ChanderPrakash Nagar, Akshay and Rishabh Kumar Kaushik.
