Chandigarh: Apoorva Pande foundation orgnised a dental health check up camp at Shri Kulwant Rai Sarv Hitakari Vidya Mandir in Sector-43-B, Chandigarh in collaboration with Abbott Healthcare Pvt. Ltd. Dr. Parneet Kaur, MDS & Dr. Amneet Kaur, BDS, examined 355 students for dental health and advised the students to brush their teeth at least twice a day to protect them from decay and cavities. They also advised the students to avoid having sweets or chocolates in excess because they stick to their teeth and lead to cavities.
All the teachers and staff of the school were also examined by the doctors and also provided leaflet having Do & Don’ts for having healthy teeth’s.
A brushing technique with live brushing sessions was conducted for all students & Oral health & hygiene tips were given to the students. Toothpaste for remineralization and Mouthwash were distributed to the students and teachers of the school.
Laxmikant Tewari, Chairman of the Apoorva Pande Foundation informed that Apoorva Pande Foundation is a charitable organization started in the memory of Apoorva Pande with an aim to work on health promotion activities and educational programme for healthy living and social evils and deadly diseases like female feticide, Child labor etc. in the best interest of the Indian public. Foundation is organizing Seminars, exhibitions, Blood Donation camps, providing help to homeless residents of the city, supporting needy students to continue their education.
He further informed that foundation will be organizing more medical camps at school in future beside holding academic activities. Laxmikant Tewari, conveyed his thanks to Dr.Parneet and her team for sparing their valuable time for this noble cause.
Sh.Kamal Sandhu, Principal of Shri Kulwant Rai Sarv Hitakari Vidya Mandir in Sector-43-B, Chandigarh addressed the students, teachers and all staff and told students to follow the advise of the Doctor to keep their teeth healthy.
