24 Apr : BusinessWeek has included Chetan Maini, Deputy Chairman & CTO of REVA Electric Car Company (RECC) among its latest list of the 50 most powerful people in India. This is the first time Chetan Maini has been named in BusinesWeek’s list of the top 50 most powerful people in India. Chetan has been contributing to the fight against climate change by pioneering the effort in making Reva the largest fleet of electric cars in the world today.
The BusinessWeek’s list of the 50 most influential Indians includes politicians, professors, businessmen and cricketers. The attempt of the magazine is to pinpoint the shifts in power that defined India in the past year, and to predict the players to watch for in the next year. Chetan Maini has joined the league of top 50 Indians which also consists of dignitaries like Sonia Gandhi, Congress party leader; Lakshmi Mittal, Chairman and CEO, ArcelorMittal; Mukesh Ambani, Chairman, Reliance Industries; Ratan Tata, Chairman, TATA Group; Sunil Mittal, Chairman and Managing Director, Bharti Airtel; Vijay Mallya, owner of Kingfisher Airlines & United Breweries Group to name a few.
