Cadet Anjum Moudgil, the ace NCC Shooter harbors the dream of representing India at the Olympics. The cadet started shooting as a sport in the year 2006 on joining NCC with Group HQ Chandigarh. She has not looked back since then and with support from her alma mater Sacred Heart and NCC Chandigarh undertook strenuous and focused training, resulting in her making to DGNCC team for consecutive six years, initially at junior and later at senior level. Shooting as a sport runs in the family with her mother an erstwhile University Level Shooter, a great motivating factor. Anjum till now has represented India at eight international events and has done the country proud. To name a few, she has won two silver medals at Doha Asian Championship in 2012 and individual Bronze in recently held ‘Asian Air Gun Championship’ at Kuwait. Anjum attributes her success to continued support from NCC which has provided all requisite facilities as shooting is an expensive game. Young Shooter is now aiming to don India colours in Commonwealth & Olympic games
