CHANDIGARH, MARCH 5 :AG Bengal, AG Hyderabad, DACR Delhi and AG Rajasthan have been clubbed in pool A of the Indian Audit and Accounts Department Inter-Zonal Football Tournament being organised by the Accountant General (Audit) Haryana from March 6 to 8 at the Sector 17 Football Stadium here.
Releasing the draw and clubbing, Sports and Recreation Club of AG (Audit) Haryana president Rajdeep Singh said that AG Nagpur, hosts AG Haryana, AG Tamil Nadu and AG BIhar have been placed in pool A.
In the opening match AG Bengal have been drawn to meet AG Hyderabad at 7.30 a.m in pool A. Defending champions DACR Delhi will meet AG Rajasthan at 3.30 p.m in another pool A encounter.
AG Nagpur will challenge North Zone runners-up AG Haryana at 11 a.m. while AG Tamil Nadu will face AG Bihar at 1 p.m in Pool B schedule on the inaugural day.
Rajdeep Singh said that Mrs Punam Pandey, Accountant General (A & E) Punjab will be the chief guest on the opening day and she will also declare the meet open. Mohinder Singh, Accountant General (A&E) Haryana will be the chief guest on the final day on March 8 and also distribute the prizes.
According to Sports and Recreation Club of AG (Audit) Haryana general secretary Arvind Pathak a teams meeting was held in the evening to finalise the draw. He said all arrangements have been completed to conduct the Inter-Zonal Audit Soccer.
The final will be played on March 8 at 11 a. m.
Tomorrow’s fixtures: Pool A: Bengal vs Hyderabad (7.30 a.m.), DACR Delhi vs Rajasthan (3.00 p.m.). Pool B: Nagpur vs Haryana (11 a.m.) and Tamil Nadu vs Bihar ( 1 p.m.).
