17 Sep : Veteran actor Anupam Kher has been invited by the prestigious Cambridge university to give a lecture about the opportunities for the West in Bollywood, which is growing into a global cultural phenomenon.
The actor has been invited by the prestigious UK based university to give a lecture during the 29th Cambridge Film Festival on the topic of ‘How to Build and Orchestrate Trans-national Creative Networks’.
“I feel really blessed that I have been given such an immense and imposing honour in my life. I just feel that God is being a little more merciful on me which makes me even happier,” said Kher.
Kher has already made a name for himself with international projects like ‘Bend It Like Beckham’ and ‘Bride and Prejudice’ and he will next be seen playing the father of ‘Slumdog Millionaire’ beauty Freida Pinto in a Woody Allen movie.
“Recently the man of my dreams Mr. Woody Allen called me up for his upcoming project at first I couldn’t believe my ears after hearing this news and now giving a lecture in Cambridge makes me even more delight,” said Kher about the project.
The actor, who also runs an acting academy ‘Actor Prepares’, will be speaking on 19th September at Cambridge University’s Judge Business School, against the backdrop of a larger theme of Bollywood’s increasing cultural influence around the world.
