Navneet Singh, Dehradun, 29 Nov : As many as 20 teams from across the state are expected to participate in the second edition of the State Basketball Championship to be held at Indian Institute of Technology (IIT), Roorkee from December 4 to 6. In the three-day meet, competition will be held in both men and women’s category. The tournament will be conducted on the League cum Knock Out format.
During the Championship the Uttarakhand Basketball Association will also conduct FIBA-New Rule Changes-2010 Clinic and the State Referees Examination.
The Inauguration/opening ceremony shall be followed by the matches on December 4. The competition would commence from 9.00 am onwards. According to press release of the Uttarakhand Basketball Association, finals are slated for December 6, from 3.00 pm onwards, followed by prize distribution ceremony.
