HOUSTON, DEC 1 ; Texas Red Cobras snatched an exciting seven-run victory over Houston Cougars to emerge victorious in the inaugural Houston T10 Cricket Championship at the newly laid turf wicket at Smart Choice-Moosa Stadium.
Houston Cougars won the toss and decided to chase the victory target. Texas Red Cobras opened their innings through Indiana all-rounder Devin Patel (18) and top scorer Chiranjeev Reddy (41, 5x4s, 1×6). This pair realised 32 runs before Devin Patel was caught by Fawad Raza of the bowling of Usman Rafiqiq. Patel faced 12 balls and hit four boundaries.
Texas Red Cobras posted 96 for 5 in their allotted 10 overs Ryan Corns (9) and Varun Singh (12) also made their contribution while Chiranjeev Reddy played a confident innings of 41 which contained four hits to the rope and one effortless six.
