Bhopal:19 Apr:The state government is going to ensure proper arrangements for various sports in some of its selected schools in the state apart from imparting quality education so that students can maintain sound health. A Rs 2.5 crore scheme has been chalked to put this plan into practice. The scheme would be implemented soon.
This separate scheme has been specially chalked out and sanctioned for boosting physical training and sports activities in these schools. As per the scheme, a hall for indoor games would be constructed in a selected higher secondary school at every divisional headquarters. Funds for the same would be provided to these schools.In another important decision, trainee female gymnasts of Government Physical Training College, Shivpuri would be provided facilities of hostel as well as studies. Proper grounds for athletics, hockey, football and cricket etc. would be developed in the college premises. Sports grounds would also be developed in Residential Sports College, Sehore.
