CHANDIGARH, AUG 4 : Two Senior Life Members R.K. Mahajan from Jalandhar and Dr. D.N. Jauhar of Patiala were honoured by Punjab Cricket Association president I.S. Bindra at the conclusion of the 65th Annual General Body Meeting was held today at Dhruv Pandove Conference Hall, PCA Cricket Stadium, Mohali. Mr Bindra presented themr Salver and Shawl.
The PCA also felicitated two veteran cricketers Chaman Lal Malhotra and Swaranjit Singh Bhatt
for their outstanding contribution of the game of cricket. Chaman Lal Malhotra, presently Chairman of Punjab Senior Selection Committee,had represented the state from 1952-1971 with distinction. He was honoured by Mr Bindra with a shawl, Silver Salver and a cash prize of Rs.51,000. The other recipient was Mr. Swaranjit Singh Bhatt who played cricket with distinction from 1952-1962 but could not be present today because of ill health.
Siddharth Kaul was declared the best emerging cricketer of the state for his haul of 68 wickets during the season. He could not be present as he is away with the India-A team. In the women category Ms. Harmanpreet Kaur of Moga was honoured for being the first Punjab women cricketer to captain India women team against Bangladesh.
Mr M.P. Pandove Honorary Secretary, Presented the best district award of Rs.5,00,000 to Mr. Mohinder Singh Secretary Chandigarh cricket Association. Chandigarh topped the Inter District competition with 12 points. Justice S.S.Sodhi (Retd.) presented a cash award of Rs. 2.50,000/- to Mr. R.P. Pandove, Honorary Secretary, Patiala Cricket Association as second best district.
The annual General Body meeting was followed by the first Executive Meeting of the newly constituted committee under the Presidentship of Mr. I.S. Bindra. Mr. Viswajeet Khanna presented the budget for the year 2013-14 which was approved by the committee.

Sharma, Sandeep Budhiraja, Raman Ghai, Krishan Lal Saraf, Rakesh Rathore, Ajay Tyagi, R.P. Singla, Amar Bindra, Rajiv Mittal, R.S. Sachdeva, P.M.S. Banga, Chief Administrator PUDA, Representative of GNDU Amritsar.
