This historic feat for Himachal cricket has been possible by the untiring and persistent efforts of HPCA president Anurag Thakur who consistently pursued the case of Dharamshala ground with the ICC and got it done .
” It’s a great first ever feat for this tiny hill state and would help us strengthen our resolve to make Himachal the powerhouse of cricket in the country and to provide good facilities and infrastructure to the cricket loving people of the country and the state . we are very thankful to the BCCI and our president for this ” said HPCA general secretary Vishal Marwah.
“We here at HPCA are committed to provide world class facilities and training to the players of Himachal so that they excel at the national level and Himachal cricket becomes a name to reckon with in the cricketing world. This a step in that direction which will give the local talent the exposure of world test cricket and they will learn the finer nuances of the game from the best in the world ” It’s a great honour for our state and body as the structure ,facilities and infrastructure will get a further fillip .The exposure thus would surely help us produce good cricketers at the national level and we would be a force to reckon with in the coming years .
There is all round jubilation in HPCA and the cricketing fraternity in Himachal Pradesh on this great feat and achievement and would inspire lot of sports enthusiasts to take up the sport in this tiny hill state .
Sharing their jubilation, all the office bearers and executive of Himachal Pradesh Cricket Association said, “This is a great news as the picturesque stadium of Dharamshala will witness the grandeur of international level test match. It has only been possible by the hard work and determination of our worthy President. This has also resulted due to the positive feedback recieved from the players and stakeholders for successfully hosting the one day and T20 international games . We would like to thank BCCI and HPCA president for giving us this opportunity to host the test match in the near future.”
