CHANDIGARH, AUG 9 : Chandigarh women under-19 got 5 points, including a bonus, as they trounced Moga by six wickets in the Punjab Inter-District Under-19 Women Cricket Tournament at Gian Joyti School ground in Moga today.
Winning the toss Moga batted first and were bundled out for 123 in 39.2 overs. Amarpal Kaur (34) and, Monika Rani (17) were the main scorers for them . Mr Extra contributed 45, including 43 wides.. Priyanka Guleria (3 for 48) , Rajni Devi (3 for 30) and Akriti Kapila (2 for 26) were the main wicket takers for Chandigarh.
In reply Chandigarh made 127 for 4 in 27.3 overs. Taniya Bhatia hit an unbeaten 58 (8x4s). Nirmal Kaur (2 for 30) and Sunita Rani (2 for 32) were the main successful bowlers for Chandigarh.
In another match Amritsar trounced Combined XI by 10 wickets. Combined XI were bundled out for 43 in 30.5 overs. Neelam was the most successful bowler for Amritsar reaping a rich harvest of 8 wickets for 9 runs and the final analysis were 10-5-9-8.
Amritsar replied with 45 for no loss in 9.1 overs. Priyanka scored an unbeaten 23 (1×4, 2x6s). Amritsar got 5 points, including a bonus, while Combined XI got -1.
