BHUBANESWAR, NOV 30 : With just a few days to go before the start of the Hero Men’s Champions Trophy 2014, the Argentinan team has arrived here today with confident players all geared up for the tournament.
Led by Lucas Rey, the team seemed enthusiastic with a strategic approach to give a tough competition in the tournament. With rigorous practice sessions and talented players who have showcased excellent game skills in previous tournaments played, Argentina is looking forward for a long lasting experience to take for their future tournaments as well.
On arrival at the airport Head Coach Carlos Retegui said, “We are really looking forward for an exciting tournament and compete with the other teams in the best possible way. We are good at our short corners and are working on it even more to make our game a strong one. The weather here is quite pleasing and hopefully will turn out in favour of the game.”
Player Gonzalo Peillat said, “It feels good to back at this stadium after I last played here for Kalinga Lancers. The ground is really good as always and will offer a comfort level to play well. Indian team is doing very well and have been growing tremendously as a team. We are really excited to play here and will give your best to put forward a good show for the spectators in the city.”
Placed in Pool B, along with Netherlands, Germany and host team India, Argentina will play their first match against Netherlands on December 6 at the Kalinga Stadium.
