Mount Abu Cricket Academy routed Outer Delhi Club by a big margin of 104 runs in the league match of the North India Summer Under-14 Cricket Tournament being played at S D School Cricket Academy in Sector 24 here today.
Outer Delhi Club won the toss and asked Mount Abu Cricket Academy to bat first but their decision proved wrong as Mount Abu openers played fluently to add 103 runs for the opening wicket partnership. Tanishak Arora made most of it by scoring magnificent 63 runs off 41 balls with the help of seven hits to fence and with two towering sixes. Rishi Rawat (28) supported him well in stitching this big partnership.
Later on Sameer Khan (30) and Fardeen Khan (22 n.o.) consolidated the innings to post a mammoth total of 226 for 4 in allotted 30 overs. Samarth Madan came up with good bowling figures of 2 for 13 for Outer Delhi Club.
Outer Delhi Club stared their chase well as Aryash Malik (34) and Rishank (31) scored quickly and added 58 runs in first seven overs. After the departure of this pair wickets Mount Abu bowlers tighten the screws on the scoring rate with extra ordinary tight line and length and in last Outer Delhi Club fell short off the target by 105 runs. Abshike Shokeen also chipped in with a well compiled knock of 28 runs. Shresth Khare took 2 wickets for 13 runs for the winning team.
Tanishak Arora was awarded Man of the Match.
The second match of the day got tied and points were split between Saundhyan Sports Academy and Mount Abu Rohini Club.
Winning the toss and batting first Saundhyan Sports Academy managed to pile up a defending total of 152 runs before getting all out with 11 balls to spare. Dipanshu (48) was the main run getter for them.
Mount Abu Rohini Club were well in chase with belligerent knocks from Daksh Shokeen (56 n.o.), Mohd Saffi (30) and Shridhar (25) but were not able to cross the line due to late outburst from bowler Prabhakar Jain who captured 4 wickets for the cost of 17 runs which also inculeds a brilliant Hat-trick.
