MUMBAI, FEB 8 : Jaypee Punjab Warriors pumped in four goals in 26 minutes as they defeated Dabur Mumbai Magicians by 4-1 in the 18th match of the Hero Hockey India League here today.
Scorers: JP Warriors: SV Sunil (3rd), Dharamvir Singh (17th), Affan Yusuf (25th) and Sandeep Singh (26th, penalty stroke). Mumbai Magicians: Vinaya Vakkaliga (30th).

Jaypee Punjab Warriors recorded their fourth victory and have logged 23 points from six matches they have played so far. They are at the second spot in points table. Delhi Waverinders are leading with 29 points from eight encounters (5 win, 1 draw and 2 defeats).
Bottom-placed Dabur Mumbai Magicians have yet to taste win from six outings in the six-team robin league phase.
Ranchi Rhinos are at the third place with 18 points from five matches and Uttar Pradesh Wizards have so far obtained 16 points from six matches and are at the fourth slot. At the fifth position are Kalinga Lancers with seven points.
Jaypee Punjab Warriors were quick to forge ahead with SV Sunil scored a field goal in the 3rd minute. The Punjab Warriors continued to maintain their pressure and struck again in the 17th minute through Dharamvir Singh. Two quick goals in as may minute increased the tally of Punjab Warriors. In the 25th minute Affan Yusuf scored a field goal and one minute later, Sandeep Singh converted a penalty stroke to place Punjab Warriors in a comfortable position.
It looked as if they were satisfied with this margin and started playing a relaxed game, giving room for Mumbai Magicians to scored their face-saving goal in the 30th minute through Vinaya Vakkaliga in the 30th minute. Thereafter the last two quarters of 17 and half minutes each failed to produce any goal.
