Chandigarh, 11th March, 2011 The response to the ‘PHD-PTU Job Fest, 2011’ has been very encouraging, informed Dalip Sharma, Regional Director, PHD Chamber. “During the past few days, more than 2500 students have already registered for the PHD-PTU Job Fest, 2011 beginning tomorrow for two days i.e. 12-13 March”, said Sharma. Students from far flung areas also have registered for placements where there are no campus recruitment drives happening. Thus, this will give them an opportunity to get placed while in college only, said Sharma. This Job fest is providing a platform with a wide range of opportunities to the students of PTU affiliated colleges.Dr. Anshu Kataria, Convener, Punjab Education Committee, PHD Chamber shared that companies from sectors like Telecom, Banking, Insurance, Hotel Management, Health Care, Pharmaceuticals IT, Media, Engineering, anufacturing, Automotive, Retail, Real Estate have been targeted. During this two-day fair, some of the big players which have confirmed their participation in the pan- Punjab recruitment drive are Parabolic Drugs Ltd., Yes Bank, ICICI, Aegon Religare, Gates India Pvt.
