CHANDIGARH, AUG 29 : Jalandhar secured three points for their first innings lead while Patiala logged 01 in their match played in the Punjab Inter-District Cricket Tournament for Katoch Shield at the Dhruv Pandove Stadium in Patiala. Patiala in their secod 2nd innings scored 192 for 7 at close of 4th day’s play. Their innings was sustained by Ravi Inder Singh (48), Himanshu Chawla (50) and Anmolpreet Singh (unbeaten 50). The bowling honours for Jalandhar were shared by Shubek Gill (2 for 29) and Rahul Sharma (2 for 51).

In the second match played at PAU Ludhiana, Chandigarh secured three points for their first innings lead while Ludhiana logged 01 point. Ludhiana resuming at overnight 312 for 5 were bowled out for 399 in 170.1 overs. Devinder Sidhu (unbeaten 39) and Baltez Singh (30) added 60 runs for the 8th wicket. Ludhiana finally conceded a lead of 95 runs to Chandigarh.
For Chandigarh Gurinder Singh (5 for 143) and Gaurav Gambhir (2 for 122) were the main wicket takers.
Chandigarh in their 2nd innings scored 117 for 4 in 28 overs when the stumps were drawn. For Chandigarh opener Manan Vohra made a strokefull 48 off 60 balls with 7 boundaries and one six while Sarul Kanwar scored 30 off 16 balls with five fours and one six.

In the third match Mohali got three points for first innings lead while Amritsar got 01. Amritsar resuming their 2nd innings on 203 for 2 went on to score 384 all out in 122.5 overs. Rohan Marwaha went on to complete his century (123) off 283 balls studded with 12 boundaries and three sixes while Sharad Lumba was cleaned up by Barinder Saran for 83 off 143 balls inclusive of 11 boundaries. Aman Bawa scored an unbeaten 54 inclusive of 9 boundaries.
For Mohali Harmeet Bansal (4 for 51) and Manpreet Gony (3 for 74) and Barinder Saran (2 for 60) were the main wicket takers. Mohali team was penalized for bowling 3 overs short and penalty imposed was 8 runs per over.
Mohali was set a target off 190 in 29 overs for an outright win but they could muster only 88 for loss of 4 wickets in 21 overs when play was called off as no outright result was possible. Sunny Sohal 34 was the highest scorer for Mohali While Kamal Passi claimed 2 wickets for 27 for Amritsar.
