Panchkula: Announcing the Panchkula visit of H.H. Sri Sri Ravi Shankar on 26th November, a press conference was held in the presence of senior members of the Art of Living foundation at Hotel Prabhat Inn, Sector 10 on Friday. The five-day visit of the spiritual leader and humanitarian connects people from all starts of life, from addressing concerns of different sects in remote areas to meeting devotees and youth in urban districts.
The visit includes a special meeting with 170 leaders of the Khap Panchayat in Jind to address their problems and discuss solutions related to their social image, among other issues. This will be followed by a meeting of 200 village panch and sarpanchs (village heads) in Yamunanagar, who shall discuss their issues with the spiritual leader.
A unique initiative during this visit is inauguration of a “Ved Pathshala” by Sri Sri in Kaithal, which aims to promote the local Indian Education System, the original ‘sanskriti’ in its true sense.
The state visit shall include a meet of business professionals in Panipat along with CII to discuss spirituality and corporate culture.
Panchkula shall witness a spiritual musical evening with him next week on Wednesday (26th November), in presence of both honorable Chief Minister and the Governor of Haryana state.
“The visit has been keenly awaited by devotees in the state of Haryana. His arrival is a boost for the several service activities going in the state for several years,” said Krishan Oberoi, Senior Faculty Member, Art of Living.
“The city residents are lucky to host him during his Haryana visit and we are looking forward to Wednesday’s event,” said Shiv Sukhija, Haryana VVKI Apex Body Member, Art of Living. Ashok Ahuja, Honorary Secretary, Panchkula Art of Living Chapter adds, “Several activities like free camps for under privileged children and people in slums have been taking place in last few weeks benefiting hundreds of people.”
