November 5, 2012: Realize the ultimate Truth which means God. Unite with Him since this is only way to make life blissful here and hereafter. Divine knowledge relieves man from the darkness of ignorance, removes delusions and liberates him from all kinds of negative feelings and tendencies of material world.
Sant Nirankari Mandal Chandigarh Parmukh Rev. Mohinder Singh Ji told that it was observed here late last evening by His Holiness Baba Hardev Singh Ji Maharaj, Head of the Sant Nirankari Mission, while addressing a huge gathering on-going 65th Annual Nirankari Sant Samagam. The Samagam is being attended by lakhs of devotees of the Mission from all over India. Many delegates have come from overseas also.
His Holiness said that devotees have assembled in such a large number because they realize the importance of God-knowledge in human life and wish to invite every fellow-being to seek the same and win the battle of both the worlds. This is the only way to make life blissful here and rescue the soul from the cycle of birth and death.
Baba Ji pointed out that all Holy Scriptures are addressed to man and not to animals or any other species because it is for man to follow their teachings and raise the status of life. They describe God-knowledge as the principal aim of human life. No worldly achievement by way of high education, physical strength, attractive appearance or powers to dominate can salvage the soul, they say. In the absence of this most essential achievement man will go as empty-handed as he came.
Baba Hardev Singh Ji Maharaj said that the realization of Truth is the only factor that distinguishes man from other species, otherwise he too has the same instincts as the animals have and will, therefore, be called an animal only. Like animals he too will sleep, eat, procreate and fear and fail to value this human life. Let us not forget that human life is momentary and will not be found again and again.
His Holiness observed that saints, Gurus and prophets have always described God-knowledge as the only source of peace and tranquility and the company of saints as its source or means. No doubt man wants this peace whether he lives in a palace or a poor hut, but he does not adopt the means suggested by great spiritual masters. He seeks it in material achievements which are wrong. It is like chasing mirage, a mere delusion, and end up in futility. Everlasting peace or bliss will come only from the everlasting Truth, the means for which is the company of saints.

Baba Ji said that for the achievement of the destination i.e salvation, man must shed his ego. He must accept to die before death. He will achieve the state of immortality only when he rises above materialism and establishes himself in the light of Truth that he must seek from the True Master. This is the only way to shed the false pride of caste, religion and culture etc. This is the only way to dismantle the walls of hatred and jealousy.
His Holiness pointed out that Truth will never prevail where there is darkness. Man will wander without the knowledge of destination. There will be delusions and misconceptions. There will be conflicts and bloodshed which will bring bad name to religion and the prophets as well. But as soon as the Truth dawns, all these delusions go. Man will love all as he will see the image of God in every human being.
Baba Ji said that Truth is like the moon which can be seen as soon as you open your eyes. That is why even in the present Samagam saints are inspiring man to open his eyes. Let him shed his ignorance and seek the vision of Truth which is available in the company of saints.
MORNING PROCESSION
Today His Holiness, accompanied by Nirankari Rajmata Kulwant Kaur Ji and Pujya Mata Sawinder Ji visited the residential tents of the devotees at the campus. As soon as the devotees came to know they rushed out in their thousands to welcome the holy trinity and seek their blessings. By and by, it took the form of a colourful procession. Devotees expressed their joy and devotion by devotional songs and folk dances of their regions and in their respective languages. Baba Ji also appeared to be overwhelmed with their devotion and blessed them profusely. He was so informal that he shared their musical instruments also. In fact, the procession presented a beautiful example of cultural unity in diversity as the devotees could be seen in their different costumes of their respective regions.
