Chandigarh, November 13, 2011: Shri Mohinder Singh ji Pramukh Sant Nirankari Mandal,Chandigarh stated that today at Delhi by His Holiness Baba Hardev Singh Ji Maharaj , Head of the Sant Nirankari Mission, while inaugurating the 64th Annual Nirankari Sant Samagam said We are all spiritual beings in human body. Each body has the soul, the particle of God. But we are so attached with body and engrossed in material persuits of the world that we ignore the soul. And in this darkness of ignorance, we cause harm to ourselves as well as others.
This was observed by His Holiness Baba Hardev Singh Ji Maharaj, in a brief message to mankind which marked the inauguration of 64th Annual Nirankari Sant Samagam here today. Organized at the vast township of tents and Shamianas spread over about 400 acres of land along Burari Road, the 3-day Samagam is being attended by lakhs of devotees of the Mission and other God-loving people from all over India. Thousand of delegates have come from overseas also.
His Holiness pointed out that man is distanced from man due to various factors like religion, caste, creed and colour, region, culture and nationality. This is keeping mankind afflicted by jealousy, hatred and violence. Men’s ego and selfishness are shattering families and causing conflicts at social, religious and cultural levels. He does not hesitate from harming even his own kith and kin for petty worldly gains.
Baba Ji said that these evil tendencies flourish because man is concentrated on body and comforts it needs. Once he identifies himself with soul and the soul seeks and recognizes its sources i.e. God, man establishes himself in the domain of truth and lives life illuminated by it. The darkness of ignorance is shattered and man rescued from the negative feeling and tendencies.
Baba Hardev Singh Ji Maharaj said once we unite with God, the Supreme Father, we begin to appreciate the fundamental unity of the mankind as his creation. The walls dividing humanity on the basis of religion, caste and community and numerous other factors are dismantled. \once the distance between man and God is removed, the distance between man and man too disappears automatically.
His Holiness quoted Sufi Saints and said, “Everyone is carrying a ruby but lives in the state of poverty simply because he or she is not aware of it.” Everybody has the soul but fails to identify himself or herself with the same because of ignorance.
To remove this ignorance and help man towards self-realization through God-realization, is therefore, one of the principal objectives of this Samagam. This vast gathering seeks to show to the world that human unity can be established despite all kinds of disparities provided we understand our spsiritual entity and remain united with God all the time everywhere in all circumstances. This will certainly make our material life blissful as we will no longer suffer from negative feelings and tendencies that harm ourselves but fellow beings too.
Earlier, on their arrival at the venue of the Samagam. His holiness, his mother Nirankari Rajmata Kulwant Kaur Ji and his gracious spouse Pujya Mata Sawinder Ji were welcomed with garlands by the Senior members of the Executive Committee of the Sant Nirakari Mandal and the Central Planning and Advisory Board.
