Chandigarh, January 17, 2012: A true devotee seeks to unite his mind with the Almighty God all the time and in all circumstances. Linked with All-Pure, the mind also becomes pure and imbibes the divine virtues like love, compassion, generosity, tolerance, patience and contentment. This exalts his status and makes him worthy of reverence by one and all.
This was stated by Rev. Mohinder Singh Ji Parmukh Chandigarh Branch that His Holiness Baba Hardev Singh Ji Maharaj, said while addressing the Bhakti Parv Samagam organized by the Mission at Delhi, to take inspiration from the life of devotees who dedicated themselves to the service of the Mission as ordained by Satguru – the True Master. Thousands of the Mission’s followers from Delhi and adjoining areas attended the Samagam.
His Holiness said that a devotee is not identified with any particular dress or culture. He enjoys the state of devotion which means a constant link with the Almighty and surrender to His will. Unlike in the world elsewhere, he does not race for material gains but remains contented with whatever the Almighty has granted and feels grateful to Him all the time.
Baba Ji mentioned about his spiritual tour of Middle East from January 4 to 14 and said that devotees in those countries also try to find time from their hard jobs and seek the company of saints whenever it is convenient, even though they have to seek permission from authorities for the same. They give priority to devotion because they realize that this is where they find the real bliss.
Referring to Bhakti Parv Samagam, His Holiness said that we remember the devotees who had staunch faith in Satguru and obeyed him as the prime aim of their life. He mentioned Baba Avtar Singh Ji and said that he sacrificed all at the holy feet of his True Master Baba Buta Singh Ji who had revealed God to him. Similarly, we have examples of Santokh Singh Ji, Labh Singh Ji and many others who remained true to their devotion and service to humanity.
Earlier, addressing the gathering Baba Ji’s holy mother Nirankari Rajmata Kulwant Kaur Ji said that devotion to God changes the life of a devotee. Since he trusts the True Master, he makes life happy here and hereafter. Devotion takes the mind to the state of bliss which a devotee enjoys all the time.
The Samagam began with a procession in which thousands of devotees and members of the Sewa Dal led His Holiness to the venue of the Samagam. Nirankari Rajmata Ji and Pujya Mata Sawinder Ji were also seated with him in the flower-bedecked open vehicle.
