Chandigarh Feb 12 –Brahma Kumaris of Global Peace House, Chandigarh organised here today an open function for public to celebrate the auspicious festival of Mahashivratri.
The event was blessed by Rajyogini Brahma Kumari Sister Achal, Zonal in-charge of Brahma Kumaris. Keynote speaker for the event was Brahma Kumar Brother Amirchand, Director of Panjab zone of Brahma Kumaris and Chairperson, Social Wing.
The eminent dignitaries who attended the function include the chief guest Mr Justice Rajan Gupta, Judge Punjab and Haryana High Court; and guests of honor Pavit Singh Mattewal, Personal Legal Advisor to CM Punjab and Additional Advocate General to the Government of Punjab; and Ishwar Singh(IFS), Forest Conservator, Central Government.
The major attractions for the day was a special and vibrant lecture on exploring and experiencing God’s love in one’s life. To beautify the occasion, personal experiences of the prominent guests and people reflecting their deep and love-filled relationship with God in its purest form has also been incorporated. Cultural programmes comprising of dances and songs showcasing divinity and nearness with the Supreme has also been encompassed, adding more grace to the social event. Also the 250 feet long letter to God, which began on February 10, reached 475 feet today, giving a chance to the city folks to express the unexpressed and unexplored love for Him.
Speaking on this occasion, B K Brother Amirchand said, “God’s love is present in every individual but if one attempts to express his love for Him, it increases which plays a dominant role in life. So this event has been organized to give a chance to individuals to enunciate their sense of belongingness for God. Our search for self-identity can only be achieved with a harmonious relationship with God. One writes letter to someone who is dear to him, likewise this event would help folks to connect with Supreme Soul which circumscribes them. One needs to unravel the hidden emotions for Him which remains buried. Only connection with Him can make us complete. This event shall give a platform where one’s faith and emotions will reach a state of union with God.”
Addressing the people, Mr Justice Rajan Gupta said, “We give no time to practically experience and realize God. In order to get rid of ego, one must connect with the higher power and conversation with God improves our standard of thoughts.
More than 1500 people arrived to pen-down their intact and hidden feelings for their Supreme parent. Sharing the experiences after penning down to God, many individuals related that they got an easy way to re-connect with their true self and also The Supreme Being with whom connection was thought to be far beyond imagination. Many others also described their problems and mental turmoil which they undergo in their routine lives in the dispatch to The Divine Being. Hence this method of releasing their pent-up feelings happened to work as catharsis. A few also felt easy to develop relationship with God as their friend with whom they could share their deepest and core secrets of life.
The same attempt shall be carried out for the tourists of Sukhna Lake on February 13.
