Chandigarh April 10, 2012. Mr. Satya Pal Jain, Ex-City MP and National Incharge of the Legal & Legislative Cell of the BJP, has urged the Chandigarh Administration to not to uproot the poor Khokha, Rehri, Phari and Tharawalas working in various parts of the city without providing alternative accommodation to them to earn their livelihood.
Mr. Jain called on Sh. V.K. Singh, Finance Secretary, U.T. Chandigarh alongwith a delegation of those Khokhawalas of Palsora, whose khokhas were demolished by the Congress ruled MC last year without providing any alternative accommodation to them, and submitted a memorandum to the Finance Secretary in this regard.
Mr. Jain said that in the present times of unprecedented sky touching price rise, it is difficult for them to feed their families even after working day and night. Unfortunately, instead of providing work to the poor sections of society, the Congress led Central Government is snatching work from those sections of society, who earn their livelihood by working on khokhas, rehris, pharis and thelas, by uprooting them and bringing their families to the point of starvation.
Mr. Jain urged the government to stop its anti-poor policies immediately and allow these poor persons to work at their respective places and, in case they have to be shifted, they be provided alternative places first, instead of ruthlessly and mercilessly uprooting them.
Mr. Jain warned the Congress led Central Government that in case it does not put an end to its anti-poor policies, it will have to face a strong mass agitation on this issue.
Dear Mr. Jain,
Why not to send the poor to BPL- Below Poverty Line category & the BPLs to below starvation line, as BSL?
And then let these people die Or thrown into the Indian Ocean for salvation, because the Care Takers of this naion has most criminally looted the bread-Two Square Meals of the people of this nation, to stash Tons of funds in the Banks Abroad & in the private godowns in the country itself.
Better do not deliver speeches & statements to play with the sentiments of the poor people of this country anymore, who now are most bored with such allurements indeed–dr.amritgaur
