Chandigarh : 02-August-13: Bharitya Janta Yuva Morcha Punjab today held Dharnas and demonstrations outside the houses of Congress Member of Parliaments at Hoshiarpur, Qadian and Patiala against the attitude of congress leaders of making fun of poors. Instead of trying to uplift the poor section of society, congress leaders are busy in making fun of poors by stating that sufficient food can be bought of Rs.1, Rs.5 or Rs.12. Thousands of BJYM workers took part in the three dhranas held in the Punjab. The demonstration in Patiala outside the house of M.P. Parneet kaur held under the leadership of Punjab BJYM state president Sh. Mohit Gupta. State BJP General Secretary and Incharge BJYM Punjab Sh. Tarun Chugh held the charge of demonstarion at Qadian outside the house of Gurdaspur M.P. and State Congress Chief Partap Bajwa. The demonstration at Hoshiarpur outside the house of Union Minister and Hoshiarpur M.P. Santosh Chaudhary held under the leadership of Punjab BJYM state program incharge Sushil Sharma. The youth BJP workers present in huge numbers in the demonstrations raised slogans against the anti poor congress government at centre. State BJYM President Sh. Mohit Gupta said that the present union government of congress is not concerned about the bad conditions of the poor in this country, instead congress leadership is hurting the sentiments of poor by making useless statements.
Sh. Mohit Gupta said if sufficient food can be bought for just Rs.5 then why congress government feels the need to bring in Food security bill in a haste without any discussion on the said bill. He said that congress has nothing to do with the welfare of the people of the country, the people of the country are just a vote bank for them and so as to get votes congress can play any sort of dirty game. He said let the next Lok Sabha elections come, the people will throw away the present highly corrupt and insensitive congress government at the centre. The present congress government is just playing with the statistics so as to decrease the number of people living below poverty line in India. One day they said that the one who earns Rs.26 a day is not poor and on second day they said that the one who earns Rs.27 a day is not a poor, just as to decrease the number of people living below poverty line in India. But such shameful moves will not help in any way to remove poverty from the country. He said that such demonstrations will be carry on by BJYM in the Punjab unless congress leaders stop making fun of Poor.
