BJYM president Anurag Thakur strongly criticized Congress General Secretary Digvijay Singh’s statement that accused the RSS of causing terrorism in the country. Digvijay Singh had said that he has “evidence of RSS terror”.
Thakur said this statement by Digvijay Singh is the latest in a long string of words and actions, which show that he is playing politics with the issue of terrorism. Digvijay Singh has in the past bestowed saint-like respect to international terrorist Osama Bin Laden describing him as “Osamaji” and even gone to visit the families of convicted terrorists from the Batla House encounter.Thakur drew similarities between Digvijay Singh’s current statement and Rahul Gandhi’s statement on terrorism exposed by Wikileaks. Gandhi had earlier told the US Ambassador Timothy Roemer that “the bigger threat may be the growth of radicalised Hindu groups.” Thakur said that it was clear from these statements that both Rahul Gandhi and Digvijay Singh statements were meant by the Congress Party to “distract the attention of the country from the clear and present danger of terrorism faced by the country today”.
Thakur said that it was extremely dangerous for the Congress Party to be politicising the issue of terrorism, at a time when the country was facing unprecedented threats from Islamic terrorism as well as from Naxal terrorism. He said that the country must come together and project a united front against the issue of terrorism.
MR. ANURAG TAHKUR,
MAY WE ASK YOU THAT WHAT IS TERRORISM IN ITS RIGHT PERSPECTIVE?
DO YOU KNOW WHEN IT EVOLVED IN MODERN TIMES, THOUGH IT IS IN EXISTENCE SINCE THE TIME IMMEMORIAL?
KINDLY DO ENGRAVE IT IN YOUR HEAD & HEART THAT WITHOUT KNOWING THE SUBJECT, ONE MUST NOT USE IT JUST FOR PUBLICITY SAKE & BLAMING EACH OTHER—dr.amritgaur
