New Delhi, Delhi ; The zest and fervor of youth is similar in countries across the globe. To salute young talent(s) from different corners of the world and provide them a platform to mingle and share creative oeuvre, the Akhil Bharatvarshiya Maheshwari Mahila Sangathan (ABMMS) will be organizing “Nav Arunodaya 2011” – The International Youth Festival in the capital from December 16th – 18th, 2011.
The event will be inaugurated by the Smt. Pratibha Devisingh Patil, Hon’ble President of India on December 16th, 2011 at Vigyan Bhavan. Gracing the occasion will be Dr. Devisingh Shekhawat, (renowned educator), Smt. Rajashree Birla (Chairman, Aditya Birla Group), Chetan Bhagat (author & Columnist), Nitin Gadkari (BJP President), Navjot Singh Sidhu (MP) among other national and international dignitaries and renowned personalities from diverse fields such as politics, business, cinema and more.
A burst of resourcefulness, creativity and imaginative abilities will be showcased through an interesting milieu of cultural activities to be presented by youngsters from India, as well as, USA, UK, Australia, Indonesia, Japan, Dubai, Singapore, South Africa and Bangladesh. Spread across the three days of the event shall be several competitions such as Talent Hunt competition, Fashion Show, Quiz contest, Talk Show and Group Discussion. Besides these, work shop(s) on folk dances such as Bihu, Bhangra, Lavani, Kumaon etc, western dance and music forms like Salsa and Jazz, workshop on Interior Decoration & Fashion Design, Painting and Rangoli, plus, Simple Culinary Tips shall be organized at the International Youth Festival for the adolescents and young adult participants. The festival will organized at Celebration Ground on NH 8.
According to Shobha Sadani (President), ABMMS, “The reigns of innovation, positive change and development of our country lies in the hands of the youth. There is no dearth of talent and creativity in this generation. However, it needs the right direction and a right platform to hone and display its diverse abilities. Through International Youth Festival 2011, we have attempted to provide such a stage to our youth where they can meet and interact with people of their own age-group, brimming with enthusiasm and new ideas. This Festival shall be a golden opportunity for youngsters and adolescents to discover their inner potential and enable them to come up with fresher perspectives. We are looking forward to a successful beginning of this event. The International Youth Festival shall also be helpful in establishing solidarity and strengthening friendly ties between different countries whose participants shall be coming to our country to attend it. ”
