New Delhi: 5th December ; Uttarakhand Chief Minister, Major General (retd.) B.C. Khanduri today inaugurated Janadhar e-Sewa for Uttarakhadi people residing in Delhi and NCR at Uttarakhand Niwas here.
On this occasion, while addressing the mediapersons assembled here, General Khanduri explained that in order to get various administrative certificates, common men, students and senior citizens have to make rounds of villages, blocks, districts, and divisional offices which cause resentment to them.
“So with a view to alleviate their sufferings, we, through Janadhar e-Sewa, have provided common men a single-window office where they could easily get the various certificates such as Caste Certificate, Domicile Certificate, Character Certificate, Income Certificate, Status certificate, Hill-Region Resident Certificate,” General Khanduri averred.
As is well known, General Khanduri, after assuming as the Chief Minister of Uttarakhand, issued directives to the officials that in every tehsil of State, Janadhar e-Sewa centres be set up in large-scale. On this score, his on-going efforts paved the way for setting up Janadhar e-Sewa centre in almost every tehsil of the State.
With the starting up of Janadhar e-Sewa in Delhi, 30 lakh people from Uttarakhand living in Delhi and NCR would be benefitted through this on-line service,” General Khanduri explained in a matter-of-factly manner. As a matter of fact, people of Uttarakhand living in Delhi could apply for their needful certificates by making payment of nominal fee and get their receipt thereof. Afterwards, it is the sole responsibility of administration to get the desired certificates of applicant from the concerned officials and make them available to applicant within fifteen days from the date of applying.
In Delhi, Janadhar e-Sewa has been set up in the office of Chief Resident Commissioner at Indraprakash Bhavan, Barakhamba Road, New Delhi.
