Lucknow : Two students from Lucknow, Tanaya Thakur and her brother Aditya gave an application for filing of an FIR against Hyderabad MLA Akbaruddin Owaisi for delivering provocative speech in the Gomti Nagar police station. The station officer S K Gautam blatantly refused to lodge the complaint in this matter.
In his speech Owaisi gave certain statements which were highly inflammatory in nature and had the potential of disturbing the communal harmony of the nation. He said that if the police force is removed for a mere 15 minutes the minority religion would show their place to the Hindus. He also used highly improper words for Hindu Gods.
Since this hate speech is being propagated through the use of Internet, hence Tanaya and Aditya requested registering FIR under sections 153A, 295A, 298, 504, 505, 506 IPC and 66A IT Act 2000.
Station Officer, Gomti Nagar bluntly told these children that he would register an FIR only when any law and order problem erupts and not before this. The children have now written a letter to the SSP, Lucknow to register the case under section 154(3) CrPC and complaining about the SO’s actions and behaviour.
