Jaipur : CeraGlass India 2012 kicked off today in a colourful, typical Rajasthani style. It got inaugurated with Rajasthani folk dances in the background. The visitors got the taste of Rajasthani heritage and culture at the show which is attracting large crowds. CeraGlass is being jointly organized by RIICO, CII and ICS.
Both business and general visitors poured in large numbers and were really fascinated by the exclusive display on ceramics, glass and allied products in various segments like building construction, interior designers, architects, decorators, etc. Furthermore, the integrated show is showcasing raw materials, finished products, technologies, machinery as well as live demos. It is a truly a blend of business and festivity.
The stalls with impeccable display of tiles, pottery, sanitary ware, raw material, cement, etc are attracting huge crowds, evincing people’s keen interest in the ceramic and glass products.
The exposition venue at Sitapura also had a tinge of festivity with folk dances of Rajasthan and food courts serving sumptuous food, beverages and snacks and‘barf ka gola’ etc.
A special attraction for the visitors isCera Haat,which, in a rural setting, throws open, the world of rich Indian pottery, ceramics and glass heritage, all handmade. The Haat displays traditional pottery, glass ware, blue pottery. Live workshop and demonstration in pottery making and ceramics sculpture attracted large crowds including overseas visitors.
The afternoon also saw technical conferences on topics ranging from ‘Natural Gas Scenario in Rajasthan’ to the ‘Role of Ceramics Tiles in Sustainable Development’; from ‘Green Building Movement in India’ to ‘Urban Planning’.
