CHANDIGARH: Congress general secretary Mr Rahul Gandhi will be arriving at Amritsar on Wednesday at 10 am. After landing at Raja Sansi Airport at Amritsar he will straightway drive to the venue of his first meeting on the Airport Road itself. He will be received by the Punjab Pradesh Congress Committee President Capt Amarinder Singh and other senior party leaders from Punjab.
During the first session he will be addressing the office bearers of the Punjab Pradesh Congress Committee, the PCC members, the members of the executive body, the District Congress Committee presidents, the block presidents, the MPs, the MLAs, ex-MLAs and ex-MPs and all those who contested the 2009 parliamentary and 2012 assembly elections, and the heads of the four frontal organizations including the Punjab Mahilla Congress, the NSUI, the Punjab Youth Congress.
This will be followed in the afternoon by his address to a convention being organised by the Punjab Youth Congress on the Attari no border. The convention will be attended by the executive members of the PYC and all the elected office bearers of the PYC.
Next day Mr Gandhi will meet the former PCC and district presidents at the Punjab Pradesh Congress Committee office.
Later in the day he will address a students’ rally being organised by the Punjab unit of the National Students’ Union of India in the Panjab University
