Why all your investments are in Haryana and not in Punjab? Capt Amarinder asks Mr Badal
CHANDIGARH, January 24: Punjab Pradesh Congress Committee President Capt Amarinder Singh today asked the Chief Minister Parkash Singh Badal as why did he make all his investments in Haryana and not in Punjab.
He pointed out, except a mansion in his ancestral village Badal, Mr Badal has not laid a single stone in his name in Punjab and practically that makes him a non-resident Punjabi will all his investments outside Punjab, whether within the country or abroad.
In his fifth question to Mr Badal today, Capt Amarinder revealed that Mr Badal’s two luxury hotels were in Gurgaon, Haryana, his palatial farm house was in Ballasar, Haryana and even one of his Transport Company, was named after Dabwali, the ancestral town of Devi Lal’s family, as Dabwali Transport Company.
The PCC President pointed out, Mr Badal has always maintained a confrontationist attitude towards Haryana in public, while his heart resides in Haryana. He asked Mr Badal as what was the reason that he has preferred Haryana over Punjab when it came to investing his money.
“Do you feel that your investments will remain safer in Haryana than in Punjab despite having been Chief Minister of the state for four times?” Capt Amarinder asked Mr Badal, while pointing out, this only reflected his double standards of saying one thing and doing something else.
